The International Human Rights Alliance “Church against Xenophobia and Discrimination” draws the attention of international organizations, diplomats, and UN Special Rapporteurs to violations of the rights of believers of the Estonian Orthodox Church.
The Estonian authorities should not force the believers of the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate to renounce their historical canonical ties with the religious center. Such demands by the authorities are a gross interference in matters of doctrine and religious freedom.
The lawyers and human rights organizations that are members of the Alliance will continue to assist in defending the rights of the EOC believers at the international level.
Shortly the members of the Alliance will discuss the strategy of legal protection of the EOC in various international organizations.
